As I’ve said before, I’ve always been the person to take the safe, secure route. So, I wanted to know every single solitary little thing that might happen or that I might need while I was on the road. Do I logically realize that’s not really possible? Of course I do!!! Did that stop me from wanting it anyway? Obviously not.
I got lots of advice from the Trucker. I still feel like the best thing he told me was to always have baby wipes with me. I know it sounds like an insignificant item, but, man, have they been useful!
My most important consideration was, “What am I going to drive?” Because I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford to stay in a hotel every night. So, I knew I was gonna have to have something I could sleep in at least reasonably comfortably. After much research and second guessing myself, I decided to buy a Chrysler Town & Country.
And when I tell you I had NEVER had any desire to own a minivan, I mean it. Up until that point, I would have cheerfully taken an ass whooping rather than own one. However, I was fairly confident that my Elantra would not have sufficient space for the things I needed, or for me to sleep. So, minivan it was.
